Since kernel 3.7 the easycap driver module is replaced by the stk1160
driver module which doesn't suffer from this bug anymore.
** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
Status: Incomplete => Fix Released
** Tags removed: needs-full-computer-model needs-upstream-testing staging
** Tags added: kernel-f
** Description changed:
While playing any video source with the EasycapDC60 device (with or
without audio playback at the same time) ~ 10% frames are dropped with
mplayer (and also if the Easycap is used with VLC or Tvtime).
I suppose this issue is related to the staging/easycap kernelm
aschalk, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current
-generic directory)

the latest v3.2-rcN kernel (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once
you've tested
