On my system, the prompt box says "Run a command" but it won't act on
enter. This seems to be related to Bug #872219, as it only happens when
the Apps lens is missing. When the Apps lens is present, it will allow a
command, even if it's not an application found in the search.

Indeed, the problem seems to be gone. Now if I press Alt+F2, I get the
'Run a command' prompt (almost always), and I can run commands.

Dash prompt pops up at the top, it says 'Search' in the input textbox,
other times it says 'Run a command' (and when this happens it actually

I had a quick corridor chat w/ njpatel. He said there was a known glitch
where the Enter keypress wasn't passed through until search completes.
Perhaps for whatever reason, the search isn't completing on my system.

Seems to work okay here. I do notice that if I type 'gnome-term' for
example then 'gnome-terminal' is suggested, but if i type the whole
thing it disappears. This doesn't happen for other things (update-
manager, gnome-control-center), so might be a seperate bug. If i hit
enter it launches though.
