Yes, that attachment is a manually transcribed content of the screen.
The DebuggingCasper page mentions boot options to try to debug. I have
no place to enter such options.
All I have is a dead screen that won't even respond to ENTER.

The prior release (11.04) beta versions I tested all worked as live CDs
from which to boot and try the OS. Has this changed?
Could you please try burning the 26-aug-2011 iso and do a boot test
yourself? I will try again around the end of September.

wrong, because the beta isn't out yet.

requested that info. The apport info is from the stable Ubuntu 10.04
installed on the hard drive of the Lenovo SL500 laptop which will not
boot at all from the beta live CD 11.10 26-aug-2011.
None of the other PCs mentioned boot

This machine has always successfully booted a live CD. Release 11.10
