Your Please check whether you are using Network Manager to configure the
network connections. In case Ubuntu One finds NetworkManager service
running it queries it for the network status. In case no NetworkManager
is running (e.g. manual network setup or other connection manager) t
"An internet connection is required to join or sign in to Ubuntu one"
I get the same thing when trying to open, and login to the Ubuntu One client
from my computer.
This never used to happen until now.
and I dont think it happens on my other 11.04 /Unity install. (Separate
partition)

Hmm, good point. I'm not sure what I may have installed that would be
competing with network-manager. Here's a list of services that I have
running:
$ service --status-all
[ ? ] acpi-support
[ ? ] acpid
[ ? ] alsa-restore
[ ? ] alsa-store
[ - ] amavis
[ ? ] anacron
[ + ] apache2
[
I suspect you are using something other than network-manager to connect
to the internet, but you still have the NM system service installed and
running; which says you do not have a network connection. If you don't
want to use NM, it is a good idea to uninstall it, so that it doesn't
run and report
