I do not get the pink lines with Herd3. The install does not complete,
but the crash is now happening much later than where it was. I now get
to 91% of the install with a hang at loading aec62xx for IDE chipset.
So, I suppose this is a new bug. Should I check for it to see if it has
been reporte

I had the same pink/lines problem. It was right after clicking next on
the step 4 screen -- selecting keyboard layout. This is the error I got
in the terminal (where I ran ubiquity)
Jan 16 11:05:58 ubiquity: Starting up '['log-output', '-t', 'ubiquity',
'--pass-stdout', '/usr/lib/ubiquity/user-se
I got this same odd video thing right after the keyboard layout. I hit
Enter for the default selections. When I got the video mess, I went to
Alt Ctrl F1 and then back to the GUI. I now had the next part of the
install showing. I went back to the keyboard section and forward again
and got a repe
