Closing. The automatic upgrade tests succeed, and this was most probably
a transient uninstallability with the X.org ABI transition. Thanks!

One possible explanation from irc:
mvo: possibly because x-x-v-v4l wasn't rebuilt against the new abi at
the point of time he tried to update
keeping the old xserver around because upgrading it would break the
new one since abi 8 was still around

Mostly rambling here, sorry for that, but while eating lunch I googled
pixbuf and GdkPixbuf. Now, I did get some error messages while trying to
take screenshots of the errors regarding xorg packages.

Those appear to be complete, do you need any of these:
ls /var/log/dist-upgrade
20110202-0053 apt-term.log lspci.txt system_state.tar.gz xorg_fixup.log

Thanks for the log, but it looks incomplete. Is there a /var/log/dist-
upgrade/main.log ? If not, maybe in one of the subfolders? main.log and

I hope this works. You'll notice that install began as a Lucid upgrade
to Maverick final during that round of testing. I fully updated it with
no proposed updates before performing the upgrade to Natty Alpha 2.
I hope the permissions are OK for you to read the attached files.
