Mostly rambling here, sorry for that, but while eating lunch I googled
pixbuf and GdkPixbuf. Now, I did get some error messages while trying to
take screenshots of the errors regarding xorg packages.

Sorry i didn't pay more attention to what those error messages said. I
just assumed that the screenshot tool was in a state of "flux" due to
some old packages being removed and newer packages not yet completing
installation. Nothing shows up regarding that:

lance@lance-desktop:~$ ls /var/crash
_usr_lib_gnome-applets_computertemp.1000.crash
_usr_sbin_NetworkManager.0.crash

Just a silly thought, shoot me ;^/

I wish I could remember if 'apt-get -f install' was suggested or if I
just new to try that? I tend to think I just new what to do. I can tell
you that this upgrade version runs much better than any of my fresh
installs :^)

In fact this particular Natty is working so well I'm going to "clone" it
w/a UUID change so I can use the clone to test.
