this was a bug in Shotwell 0.7 which has been fixed in 0.8. You may
need to reauthorize the Shotwell Connect application to make this work
for your account. Please follow the instructions in the Shotwell FAQ
under the question "Why can't I publish to one of my existing albums":

I have a hint on the possible error: At least one of my albums has a
German Umlaut in it's title - it's called "Fundstücke". This wouldn't be
the first time, that an Umlaut stops a Facebook plugin from working.
F-Spot for instance wsn't able to submit post comments with Umlauts.

@Omar: I tried this multiple times with Shotwell in German and English
(LANG=en) localization.

It does happen on an up to date Maverick; Shotwell v.0.8.1.
Hence "Status New" > "Status Confirmed"
