Caspar, this was a bug in Shotwell 0.7 which has been fixed in 0.8. You may need to reauthorize the Shotwell Connect application to make this work for your account. Please follow the instructions in the Shotwell FAQ under the question "Why can't I publish to one of my existing albums":
