You're problem appear as hardware or kernel related.
Next time you will be better to reprot bug using apport, typing in a terminal:
ubuntu-bug linux
if the affected package is linux or the name of the app in the case.

(I’m unassigning this from the ‘sd’ package, which has nothing to do
with SD cards.)
Did you right-click on the SD card icon on your desktop, and select
“Safely Remove Drive”, before pulling the card out of the computer?
