No this is the i3 with Intel GMA. The problem seems to persist on all
Intel HD chipsets and some ATI cards. I eventually gave up and have
installed windows again. I will be waiting on a fix though.

Toshiba Satellite c650 - i3 - Intel GMA 4500 exact same problem. Updated
to the latest kernal 2.6.39 natty and still the exact same problem. Will
there ever be a fix for this?

Same here. Ubuntu 10.10, core i5 and Intel MHD. What is worse is that i
have an nVidia Corporation GT218 [GeForce 310M] which do NOT work too:

Hi,
I have tested the mainline kernel the matches the Ubuntu kernel I am
using (http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.35.8-maverick/).
The problem occurs also in the mainline kernel.
What to do?

Same problem here. Lenovo ideapad, intel i5, vga out is shaky. Just

When connecting the laptop to a external screen via VGA, the image is
wavy, vibrating, not steady...
