Mmm... just happened to me with v. 2.3.0 :-/
It was not after receiving a sentence with an aniGIF in it, although there had
been some in previous sentences (and thus, aniGIFs were present in the chat
window).

believe that we must confirm that it's really fixed before marking this
bug as a duplicate.

Well, it happened one time during my tests (for reasons unknown: I think there
was no animated GIF involved at that time) with the 1:2.2.1-1ubuntu4 version.
It hasn't happened since I switched to version 2.3.0 (from Getdeb), although it
may still be there as:

Well, in my case it happened about 10 days ago. So unless there has been an
update since, I have it with 1:2.2.1-1ubuntu4.
But I'll check this more precisely when I can.

maybe I see the same problem:

but it seems to be dependent on smiley theme.. for the default one or
ICQ-5.1-like it is ok, but for QIP-like one (animated) there is that problem..
