This machine has been running feisty for 3 weeks and has had this
problem three times so far. X and console are unresponsive, but I can
ssh from the ethernet connection.
The second time, I tried stracing the X server, but the entire machine
became unresponsive. This time I am trying oprofile. I

There have been many related fixes (AGP speed, new X.org, workaround for
r200 line acceleration issue) in the Ubuntu development version lately,
so marking as fix released as no new info has been posted. Reopen if
necessary, but please first test with eg. the newest daily live CD
