This machine has been running feisty for 3 weeks and has had this problem three times so far. X and console are unresponsive, but I can ssh from the ethernet connection.
The second time, I tried stracing the X server, but the entire machine became unresponsive. This time I am trying oprofile. I don't understand why the kernel would be stuck in tsc though. I didn't see any -dbg packages for any of the xserver-xorg packages so the radeon module doesn't have any symbols to lookup.
