I don't think the new site does fix the problem. Assume you are a newbie looking for help, you might go to http://www.ubuntu.com/ and click "Get Support", where you will end up at Visit http://www.ubuntu.com/support. People will dismiss the first two in the list "Access Free Documentation" and "B

It's not just the tech support but the bug reporting mechanism. When applications crash, it's easy to file a bug report because you're stepped through it by the wizard that's triggered by the crash. But if you just want to report a dodgy dialog layout or a keyboard shortcut not working (or anything
