lshw causes laptop to freeze up

I installed XUbuntu 10.10 beta on the affected machine and see - same
occurs here - also complete lockup after a while - at least when trying
to open a second terminal window.

Under Maverick on the machine that hangs up it hangs up while displaying

I have another Dell Latitude E5500 with the same hardware. Only
difference is that the one experiencing the issue got the motherboard
changed already once after burnt - but the replacement was quite the
same and I did not have the lshw issue before where Ubuntu 9.10 has been
on that machine.
