lost, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

Steve, i did check this out. I am not the only one affected by this
restore/hibernation problem. I hope the team gonna
find a solution on the pm_op() faults

I have a Dell D600 laptop and have been dealing with a suspend/hibernate
failure. When I try to suspend, all I get is a black back lit display
with a flashing cursor in the upper left. I had tried every suggestion
in thread 'ubuntu 10.04 - hibernate/suspend not working', with no luck,
but had only

and upon boot it only shows this error before restoring to pre-logon

Please be sure to confirm this issue exists with the latest development release
of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . However, note you can only test Suspend,
not Hibernate, when using a LiveCD. If the issue remains, run the following
