I have a Dell D600 laptop and have been dealing with a suspend/hibernate
failure. When I try to suspend, all I get is a black back lit display
with a flashing cursor in the upper left. I had tried every suggestion
in thread 'ubuntu 10.04 - hibernate/suspend not working', with no luck,
but had only been testing with suspend. After trying the latest
suggesting - updating with pre-releases - suspend still did not work,
but I gave hibernate a try and it did, with the exception that the
"failed to thaw" error message appeared before the system successfully
hibernated. Still, suspend does not work.
