After quite intensive search on the net I found that the real problem is
within the DVD drive's firmware. It's TSST Corp DVD drive (I think it's

Hello again, sorry about the post upstairs. I've tested gutsy gibbon,
still the problem exist with this error message :
"ata1 is slow to respond, please be patient"
I'll post the complete var/log/messages if you need it.

Currently I don't use ubuntu anymore, because of the bug. I cannot work
with those frequent freezes every once in a while. I'm currently using
Windows XP, and considering I would move to ubuntu again if the bug is
fixed. Everything else seems fine,
