The reason that these MD5SUMS files are identical is that 6.06 was made
a symlink to 6.06.1 on releases.ubuntu.com. 6.06(.0) is available from
old-releases.ubuntu.com.

The URL http://www.kubuntu.org/download.php there are links such as
http://ie.releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-releases/kubuntu/6.06/ instead of
http://ie.releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-releases/kubuntu/6.06.1/
If 6.06.1 is a bugfix release then why has the URL
http://www.kubuntu.org/download.php not been p
It doesn't seem obviously necessary to name the MD5SUMS files uniquely,
and it would be fiddly to arrange. On exactly what URLs did you observe
this problem?
