I upgraded to 10.04 beta from 9.10 as soon as i could using "update-
manager -d". the install went fine, rebooted remarkably fast, and ran
beautifully. I restarted my system after applying updates, loaded into
plymouth, at which
edit: i'm not able to duplicate the 5 minute boot after the ureadahead
reprofiling. in fact, my last boot was 25 minutes

I agree, very (x6) odd indeed! however, i was unsure as to it being
related to ureadahead (filed a bug for it as a suggestion from someone)
and am now fairly sure that ureadahead isn't the problem. the first boot
with ureadahead disabled took about 20 minutes again and the same with
the reprofiling
