I just installed the package and can report that the same/similar crash
occured again and I can reproduce it now
I start rhythmbox in shuffle mode from a hotkey, play music, quit rhythmbox via
the panel. Then I immediately press the hotkey again and rhythmbox starts up. I

Please install the linux-alsa-driver-modules-2.6.32-17-generic package
from the ubuntu-audio-dev PPA http://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-audio-
dev/+archive and reboot. Please test to see if the problem you are
experiencing has been fixed and report back with the results.
