after thinking of it, it won't make sense to consider the Home differently than
the other folders
if you rename a file, the link with the Stack applet is cut
as it would be with a symbolic link

What do you think about using the HOME variable if the file or directory
dropped into the stack is in/is a subdir of the home directory ?

which other config files are you talking about ? If it's the config files of
the dock or the applets or the launchers, they don't contain paths, but most
of the time a mere name (for images for instance).
that's why they won't be affected even if you change your home. But Stack
has to know the comp
I agree bur other config files have been updated automatically so i
thought it could be good to keep this behavior for all config files.
