Had the exact same problem, but on multiple platforms (Win XP/Vista/Jaunty/Karmic). Not first when Dell replaced my WNIC did the "Mac is in deep sleep" etc errors go away. I had them replace it by reporting problems with the NIC not working as well as intermittent WNIC related problems (mac is in
