please use the lts.conf, xorg.conf is usually rewritten on boot of the
thin client unless you specified a static one in lts.conf (which i
surely wouldnt suggest since the autodetection usually works way better)

I changed the color depth to 16bit in the xorg.conf file and rebooted.

I remember this bug from Dapper Drake...thought it was fixed. Anyway,
it still exists in Edgy Eft. I'm attaching a screen shot from Linux
Mint Bea, which uses Ubuntu 6.10 as a code base. My laptop is a Fujitsu
FMV-Biblo LOOX. The "tearing" only occurs when I move the nipple

X_COLOR_DEPTH=16 in your /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf
