I think I have the same bug as what is discussed here.
I am on a ubuntu 11.10 and have also tried on the daily build
(2/29/2012) of ubuntu 12.04 precise and I get the same problem on both.
I bought a new Logitech MX 5500 keyboard + mouse combo. It would not
work, no keystrokes or mouse movement.
Same thing for me. After Lucid upgrade: No mouse, no keyboard anymore
:-(
And no more screen due to bug #560306 :-((
In the past Lynx was a browser for blind people.
Now I have Lucid Lynx, an OS for blind and handless people.
Tommy's trick worked well for me.

Okay, continuing my investigation :)
The keyboard disconnected once again (since last post), but I didn't do
anything and it connected back in ~1 minute.
I also tried rebooting the PC and the keyboard & mouse connected well
and even worked all the time :)
By the way, anyone here? x)

Okay, I was able to pair the devices using KBluetooth, but it still
working bad.
Mouse is working good at all (after pairing), but the keyboard has
disconnected after some time (only once for now).
Captured dmesg and got this message after pairing keyboard:
[87140.856289] input: Logitech MX5500 K
Upgraded from Karmic to Lucid and MX5500 stopped working :(
