Seems to be no longer an issue to me, although I'm not sure whether it's
a kernel update or a poulsbo driver update that fixed it for now.
Perhaps we should wait for original reporter to confirm.

it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try

I have a similar problem with EeePC 1101HA: sound doesn't work after
hibernate. The problem occures when I put the machine into STD whlie
connected to AC power, and then try to wake it up on battery, but if the
machine was on battery when hibernating, waking up on battery works just
