Can't say, if the sideport memory is used..., i got now Maverick installed. In the system manager the RAM is counted with 7,8 GiB = 8 GB - witch seems correct! For more infos i attached the output from lspci -vvnn dmesg hope, this helps you out. For more infos don't hesitate to ask! ** Attachme

I have the same problem on a ASROCK AOD790GX mainboard. Without xorg-driver-fglrx it is running sideport only. With xorg-driver- fglrx (does not matter if I use proprietary or open-source ATI drivers) I get a BSOD instead of seeing GDM (the ubuntu boot screen is still fine). Also passing GDB and e
