I just upgraded to Ubuntu Karmic. The bug still exists. Any formatting added to the document after its initial creation is not saved. Words can be added, but formatting, such as page breaks, etc. vanish upon closing the document even after saving it. Currently I'm dealing with the after affects

I ran apport-collect, and got the authorization page, which covered over the terminal window and the instructions telling me what I should do on that page without giving me time to read what was in the terminal window. Consequently, I didn't realize I had to pick the "Change everything" option. I

Apparently the package python-launchpadlib is not installed on your system. You can just install this with "sudo apt-get install python- launchpadlib". I do think it should be installed as a dependency when apport is installed though, so this is weird. Perhaps there are more depency problems on you

Yes, I'm still affected by it. It makes Open Office useless for anything other than a space to open documents for printing. I'm still using the same version of Ubuntu. My son uses Open Office from a Windows base, and he doesn't have this problem. My brother uses Open Office from a Ubuntu base
