Does moving and/or removing the ~/.openoffice.org* directories help any

I just upgraded to Ubuntu Karmic. The bug still exists. Any formatting
added to the document after its initial creation is not saved. Words
can be added, but formatting, such as page breaks, etc. vanish upon
closing the document even after saving it. Currently I'm dealing with
the after affects
Sorry, leave apport-collect be for now, it's not that important anyway.
It is clear that you are running Karmic, upgraded from Jaunty. I assume
you have not made changes to openoffice yourself, installed any external
packages related to openoffice, etc?
And just for clarity, is the problem that th
I ran apport-collect, and got the authorization page, which covered over
the terminal window and the instructions telling me what I should do on
that page without giving me time to read what was in the terminal
window. Consequently, I didn't realize I had to pick the "Change
everything" option. I
TLC emailed me the following, but please keep the discussion here, so
other people can help out as well.

Apparently the package python-launchpadlib is not installed on your
system. You can just install this with "sudo apt-get install python-
launchpadlib". I do think it should be installed as a dependency when
apport is installed though, so this is weird. Perhaps there are more
depency problems on you
I tried the command below, and got the following:"Please install the
package "python-launchpadlib"."
what is this?
I'll try the upgrade next.
Thanks!
Terri.

Can you perform "apport-collect 390648" on the command line? This will
give some more information on your system, something is most likely
wrong on your system, otherwise more people would like have been
affected. That doesn't mean it's not a bug of course, as this problem
may still be caused by a
Yes, I'm still affected by it. It makes Open Office useless for
anything other than a space to open documents for printing. I'm still
using the same version of Ubuntu. My son uses Open Office from a
Windows base, and he doesn't have this problem. My brother uses Open
Office from a Ubuntu base
TLC, can you explain why you have reopened this bug, are you affected by
this problem now? I so, are you using 9.04 like in the original report,
or are you using a newer/different version of Ubuntu?
