This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are

I'll just mention that I tried booting this machine with mem=392M. This
makes it quite sluggish, but it is still moderately responsive with 2
epiphany tabs open and 7 firefox tabs open... much better than with the
full 4GB, but running memtester -m 3600 above. I would expect that the
speed would be
2.6.28-11-generic. 64bit. At boot:
MemTotal:3992680 kB
MemFree: 3471656 kB
Once Firefox is up and running, memfree drops to 3152812 kB.

Which kernel are you using on this machine? 32bit/64bit? How much
memory does the kernel report free when booted? (cat /proc/meminfo)
