I had this problem too, but I fixed it by re-installing GRUB. I had previously installed GRUB on another partition a few weeks before upgrading to Karmic, and because of that, my computer kept booting into the old kernel instead of the new one. I confirm the bug with Logitech V550 Nano wireless mouse, after upgrading to Karmic Beta 1. Catting /dev/input/mice does work. Sometimes the mouse works after plugging the receiver into another port, this happens randomly. The mouse worked without any problems on Jaunty with kernels 2.6.28, 2.6
