I tested the bug again. Now it is working, but I dont know why. There
were no updates for openoffice, as far as I can remember. I dont think,
that this problem has something to do with cups, because all other
application could print, except openoffice.

no!chance, do you still have the problem with OpenOffice.org and
printing? If so, please do a test with debug logging and attach the
resulting error_log file to this bug report. See the "CUPS error_log"

Till,
Can you take a look at this bug. I doubt this is an OOo issue but I
suppose it is possible, the user already deleted the OOo configuration
directory which did not help resolve the issue.

The system is not a private PC, but used in a production environment.
Therefore I decided to use LTS versions of Ubuntu to minimize the
administration efforts (9 Clients, 2 Server). What I can do is to
convert the system to vmware or virtualbox and upgrade it to jaunty.
