I lost both wifi and ethernet with the upgrade from 8.10 to 9.4, this
leads me to believe it is related to more than the kernel. As per
Manoj's suggestion, I tried the latest images from 7/15/09.

If you could also test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine this

This seems to be a regression to Linux 2.6.22-8 (?). I know this existed
in 2.6.22 at some point, but I am not sure where. It required a modular
pack to fix.

I am having the same issue. I upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 on an IBM Z61m
laptop and all WiFi was working fine with the Atheros card (ath0). Now,
it only connects for seconds and then disconnects.
This bug appears to be related, if not a duplicate, of bug 362483 .

NB I have set up my laptop BIOS to turn on wireless automatically, since
the WiFi HotKey is no
I fixed my problem... it seemed that the wireless inside my MacMini got
disabled somehow... really not sure how that could happen. Anyways I
turned off the MacMini completely and waited for 5-10min then turned it
back. Now wireless works as before...

I think I'm in the same boat... earlier in the Jaunty development the
