I switched to uxa and this problem went away, but then I've got
stability problems.

One thing I noticed is that after changing kwin style to plastique from oxygen.
The display corruptions stopped appearing except for dragon player full screen
progress/scroll bar though lasting only for a moment.

As far as I know XAA has been deprecated in favor of EXA. In my case I
use the intel driver which uses the UXA accel method so this bug seems
to be prety much driver/acceleration agnostic. Also I don't have
compositing enabled because it is just slow.

...however, the bug seems to have vanished after changing AccelMethod
from EXA to XAA (as I've read elsewhere) however, the
compositing is too slow afterwards and also firefox webpage scrolling
seems to be much slower in composite mode.. gonna fill bug to ati guys
then, I guess :-)
