Same here. On a ConRoe845PE motherboard, just installed Ubuntu 10.10 and
updated it to the default Ubuntu 11.04 - released in Apr 2011, supported
until Oct 2012. Running "alsamixer -c 0" in the console, setting Master
to 100, PCM to 81 and everything else to 0 appears to have solved (not
fixed) the

I haven't had a chance to pull in any recent changes. I will update
later today and see if it helps. It will at least allow us to narrow
down what changed between revisions.
