and upgrade the LyX package only. Then remove the line you added (make
sure to do so) from sources.l
Is there a guide to install LyX 1.6.0-1 on Ibex? The package I
downloaded from the lyx homepage conflicts with LyX-Common.
I need LyX on a daily basis and wouldn't want it to break irrecoverably.

Not reproducible on LyX 1.6.0-1 (Ubuntu Jaunty). Please also test
yourself with LyX 1.6.0-1 and report if the bug still occurs. Bug 297941
is a backport request for LyX 1.6.0-1 to Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10.
