Tested using Live Alpha 6. Safe graphics mode was not enabled.
Without ATI card installed:

Steps to debug:
Removed quiet and usplash. GNOME loaded, but "Applications" menu text
was unreadable and keyboard/mouse were unrespsonive.
Removed quiet and usplash, added debug=scree
It would appear as though this issue was related to my hardware video
card...at least for 8.10 and 9.04 alpha 5. Both would go through the
whole installation process, but choke on boot. But when I removed the
card, both booted after installation to the cmd prompt. I'd like to

I don't know how to do a quiet/splash boot. I just tried to install
Jaunty Alpha 4 Server and I couldn't even get the boot screen to even
start the installation. It just kept spinning and spinning.

I am using the final release candidate of Intrepid for Desktops. It
works fine on my laptop, but fails loading on my desktop. I've tried

Can you try booting the LiveCD with the 'quiet' and 'splash' options
removed. Would you then be able to take a picture of the errors (likely
call stack) printed to the screen and attach the photo here. Also, just
