I think it's pretty safe to mark this as fixed.
If anyone still has problems with newer version of ubuntu,
please reopen and choose the apropriate package.

speedstep-centrino doesn't load on pentium m laptop
I have verified that the problem still exists with the Gutsy RC0(1?) on
a Dell Inspiron 6000. Oddly, I did not had the problem the second time
I installed Feisty on the same machine. Perhaps this is an install
process problem, rather than a kernel problem? I have reinstalled three
times with Gut
I think that new versions of Ubuntu (Gutsy on) use acpi-cpufreq instead
of speedstep-centrino, so this may not be an issue for very long...

I never had this problem until 2.6.19-6 (feisty). Now I have it as
well. So I suspect that sometime in the next six months your bug will
start to get noticed.
speedstep-centrino worked fine for me in 2.6.17. now it won't.
using p4-clockmod makes my 1.6GHz max out at 600MHz.

It wasn't fixed in dapper, I haven't tried edgy yet.
