I have verified that the problem still exists with the Gutsy RC0(1?) on a Dell Inspiron 6000. Oddly, I did not had the problem the second time I installed Feisty on the same machine. Perhaps this is an install process problem, rather than a kernel problem? I have reinstalled three times with Gutsy (Tribe5 twice and RC0 once), with no luck, however.
