i have seen this happen on my father's pc. i can confirm pressing esc does not solve the problem. i can confirm nuking the complete config (by removing the .openoffice.org2 directory) "solves" the problem -- but clearly this isn't an option really. and yes, he tends to customize his settings a lot

ok, I hate to do this, but I am going to expand on this bug, and perhaps eradicate it with a new feature? I have been playing around with writer and calc on my system (Ubuntu 8.04 64bit, running OO 2.4) there is definately an issue with toolbars and full screen. It is indeed possible to get yours
