i have seen this happen on my father's pc. i can confirm pressing esc
does not solve the problem. i can confirm nuking the complete config (by
removing the .openoffice.org2 directory) "solves" the problem -- but
clearly this isn't an option really.
and yes, he tends to customize his settings a lot

Home directory. When Open Office launchs again generates a new

For the users where this happens does hitting the Esc key fix the
problem? I went into full-screen closed the bar and then hit Esc and it
went out of full screen mode for me...
