Holy guacamole! The latest version seems to have resolved this problem.
I'm able to login and navigate normally.

Please update to latest edgy firefox in repos and try this, does it
still happen? If you still see this problem Please reopen this bug
report. Im gonna close due to lack of info for over 30days.

i have an amd64 edgy install and don't have any problem getting to their
login screen. Even sending login form without proper credentials does
not stall. Appears to work fine here

Kirk no i dont have any 64 bit pcs at this time so i can only check with
32bit. Can you try the 32bit llivecd (the latest edgy build and see if
you get same results?)

I've just created a brand new user on my system, logged in and launched
Firefox. I first checked the Addons and only the Web Developer addon is
installed (which evne then is disabled because it is incompatible with
the Firefox version installed).
I then went straight to the Scotiabank online secu
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, i am not
able to reproduce this with edgy live cd nor dapper live cd. can you
please try to move your profile or create another user without any
plugins and see if this is still an issue. This sounds like a
plugin/addon issue. Personally
I really don't think that this is an OS issue, since while
I am having the problem with firefox, the Galeon
webbrowser works fine. I can have both apps
open, and firefox will hang, while galeon works fine.
Quite irritating that this issue is still out there after
all this time.

I'm running Edgy now and I am still seeing this problem. I installed
Edgy from scratch even and still no good.
