Atleast I do I dont get the X11 lookup's and havnet check with strace if I get
the same stuff there
but I sometimes get

in evolution it ruffly translates to
"Cant get the message
Dropped connection
Does anyone still face this problem on Ubuntu 10.04?

This does not make it any less a bug, but the X lockup thing may be due
to that fact that in X the entire session will lock up when an
application has a drop-down open, and then locks up. As along as the
drop down has not been closed, no input will be accepted in any X
application. I've been bitt
This happens for me too under Ubuntu 9.04 with evolution
2.26.1-0ubuntu1. Sometimes when it's doing auto-completion of addresses,
it hangs. Actually, my whole X session stops accepting keyboard and
mouse input. If I kill evolution-exchange-server, X is responsive again!

Confirmed. This appeared when testing with Intrepid every now and then
with no logic.
Does anyone know whether connecting to Exchange servers would work
better via the Evolution Brutus Plugin?

I have a very similar problem. First start Evolution, no problem. Then
for some reason, the thing will start to hang while checking addresses.
When it does, gnome is completely locked up. This is very annoying when
trying to work, and may force me back to Windows. I sure hoep it gets
fixed. I'
For the record, I downgraded my entire system to Gutsy and the problem
went away. So, it seems to be some component in the Gnome chain or
kernel code is causing the problem.
