i'm having a similar problem.. no horizontal lines though. i have an HP
Pavilion DV4254EA notebook;
CPU: Centrino M 1.73
RAM 512

ok...i think this prob is related to my sys hardware...iam having this
prob in windows also.oklets answer ur questions...
