Sorry for the extremely delayed response here. The volume of incoming
bugs is ever increasing and it sometimes proves difficult for developers
to stay on top of it all. I'd like to try to help though if you are

I run the Hardy kernel on Gutsy, but I don't have any problems with my audio. I
go to hibernate when playing music and when I resume from hibernate, it playes
again. No problem what so ever. This is on a Fujitsu-Siemens Pi 1536. This has
the Realtek HD Audio.

I'm having the same problem on an Asus M3A motherboard with Intel HDA
audio. When resuming from suspend or hibernate, the audio is lost.

So after the laptop woke up from hibernation with the sound not working, I did

First, I plugged in some USB speakers and they worked just fine.
