Same problem here. The keyboard layout is set to USA in the login screen
(which is really annoying to enter a password) and when entering the
password for the keyring to connect to a wireless network. After that,
it switches to my default Belgian layout. I've noticed it was a problem
in older Ubunt
I'm experiencing this too. I have a Hardy beta system, upgraded from
Gutsy. The default keyboard layout is USA, and I configured Romanian as
a secondary layout.
After a reboot, I try toggling between USA and Romanian, either by
clicking on the keyboard indicator applet, or by pressing the defined
