FWIW, this also applies to 24.04.1. I don't remember the details, but I think that at least one of the status tray instrumentations provides a mechanism for hiding select icons, so this can be fixable easily. (On the other hand, it's also mostly a nuisance, since both icons provide the same menu /

I think this is an issue where both the 'Status Tray Plugin' and 'Indicator Plugin' are showing duplicates I have had this issue on other versions of Xubuntu. my workaround is to remove the one of them. I have found removing the Indicator plugin seems to be the better option. I'm not sure why Xub
