Why is this marked "invalid" ? It is an obvious bug.
My experiance:
- HP nw8440 laptop
- Ubuntu 8.10 i386 desktop CD (live boot)
- BT does not work
(WLAN works BTW)
Only after installing BT drivers and HP Wireless Assistant into Windows,
I can enable BT and then it works in Ubuntu. At least f
Bluetooth works if I turn it in in Windows before I try it in Ubuntu.
There must be something else wrong if Ubuntu can't turn wlan and
bluetooth on if they're turned off in Windows.

Thanks for looking after my problem! The answer is yes to all three questions.
It does have bluetooth and it works in windows. And the same button turns the
wireless and the bluetooth on and off.
I'm also having troubles with the wifi on the laptop. I just discovered
that wlan only works if I boo
I have 3 questions for you.
1. Does it actually have bluetooth? There is no indication in lspci output.
The specs here say bluetooth is optional -
