Hello vmware-gos-Yuhua, or anyone else affected,
Accepted open-vm-tools into groovy-proposed. The package will build now

Seems you had no time :-/
So I did my own (trivial) sniff tests and for that bit it LGTM.
I think we can move this forward to MP review and a real SRU upload where you

Hi,
As usual we will make this a two step verification.
a) First a general sniff/function test in a PPA (before we pollute -proposed
too fast) via a PPA.
b) Then a proper SRU where then VMware will (as usual) do the full verification
of the new builds

The backports to 20.04 and 20.10 are (as usual) done when the current
release is frozen or released (to have ~1 bump per 6 months). So I'll
add tasks now but it will be a bit until that happens.

Thanks John!
The fixes of these issues should allow this to be a sync again.
And Bernd already uploaded 11.2.5 recently.
Thanks for the hint on the pam change, but that already is in
