That sounds good then.
If the system has marked the crash report as either uploaded or invalid
then you shouldn't see the popup anymore.
I don't think there's anything left to do here.

OK, it sounds like the file '/var/crash/_sbin_plymouthd.0.crash' is
corrupt. Please just delete it:
sudo rm /var/crash/_sbin_plymouthd.0.crash
Then reboot and tell us if that stops the message from popping up.
