I’m unsure of what you mean - this is an issue with installing
Virtualbox through apt on a host machine - not an issue with guest
addons inside VMs.
Unless I misunderstand completely, it’s also not a kernel failure: a
function in the kernel was removed as part of an API change between
kernel
pllease use vbox-guest-source if you want to try snapshot kernels, or be
prepared to fix kernel failures.
